Smart School

Good day everyone!
Smart School has been implemented about a decade ago. We haven't heard much of it though..maybe because life has been very busy at our college. However, having paid a visit to a Smart School for our first assignment, what's your opinion/perception of such school?

  1. Hi there,
As for me,implementation of smart school is a smart move.As we know the smart school is based on ICT.I guess we can expect the best from the students as we know what wonders can ICT do for us.In an era of technology, students must be exposed with ICT as it truly helps in the teaching and learning process if it is used effectively.By the way what do you think about such schools?

  2. As for me, I visited STAR, which is one of the schools involved in the pilot project.

  3. Personally I think the school is equipped with the latest technology...flat-screened computers even for the students' computer labs..maybe that's common, but.. you know..we are still using the old desktop :). I am not envious, people..don't get me wrong. The truth is, I believe whether the government implement the Smart School concept or not..all schools need to be SMART eventually. Not because we are forced to..but I think it's more about us being parallel with the world's technological advancements. These kids are raised in the Information Age. Their lives are full of technologies, you just name it, iPod, PlayStation, mIRC..these things use colourful graphics and animations, which is obviously very-very attractive. If school is boring with dull classrooms, strict teachers, we are in fact shooing them away! Hence, the classrooms, the schools' environment and the staff need to be as attractive, especially the lesson. That way, students will be eager to come to school out of their own will which will then make the lesson more meaningful.

    Just my two cents...
